Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is acknowledged as being one of the most difficult disciplines in the Yogic community. The entire purpose of this particular Yoga form is to unlock the Kundalini energy, which is a dormant, yet extremely potent mass of energy residing within us all.

The word Kundalini stands as a symbol for a snake that is coiled up and completely dormant. However, if the snake is somehow made to uncoil, it can go on to achieve great things. Similarly, there is a coiled up energy within all of us, which can be awakened through the practice of Kundalini Yoga.

Manifesting the Energy
Kundalini Yoga is often referred to as “the yoga of awareness” by its practitioners. Through the awakening of the Kundalini energy, practitioners reach a heightened state of perception. It is done to overcome negative aspects of life such as fear and doubt and stand up for elements like peace, truth and compassion.

In order to awaken the energy, practitioners have to undergo a lot of training and preparation. Four key aspects of Yoga need to be practiced daily for the energy to awaken and start influencing your life:

  • Asanas
  • Chanting Mantras
  • Meditation
  • Pranayama

Safety
The difficulty of Kundalini Yoga practice is well-known in the Yogic community. Therefore, proper guidance must be taken by people who want the Kundalini Energy to be manifested within them. Finding an experienced Yoga guru is a must. The guru can guide the pupils through the many preparatory stages before they have the physical and mental readiness to start practicing Kundalini Yoga.
